Based on the research of John V. Rignani, P.E., John Eugene Strong (application number 188) was the first new member accepted after the Harrisburg Section Charter in 1961. Therefore, any applicant with an application number from 1 to 187 and still in good standing on May 8, 1961 should be considered an ASHE Harrisburg Charter Member.
